The Patriots ruled out three players for Sunday’s game at Arizona and listed five others as questionable, including star cornerback Christian Gonzalez.
Gonzalez is dealing with a shoulder injury, while safety Kyle Dugger (ankle), offensive tackle Vederian Lowe (shoulder), offensive lineman Cole Strange (knee) and defensive tackle Christian Barmore might also miss kickoff and are listed as questionable.
Pats wide receiver Javon Baker (concussion) and offensive tackle Caedan Wallace (ankle) are out, while defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy is now done for the year after being placed on injured reserve Friday.
Roy’s season ends after six game appearances, 17 tackles and two sacks. The Patriots originally signed him to their practice squad on Sept. 10, then their active roster on Oct. 5. Roy seemingly injured his foot in Wednesday’s practice.
His absence still leaves the Patriots with Barmore, Davon Godchaux, Daniel Ekuale, Jeremiah Pharms Jr. and Eric Johnson at defensive tackle.
Safety Jaylinn Hawkins returned to practice Friday after missing Thursday’s session with an illness. A bug seems to be going around the locker room. Marcus Jones also missed practice this week, and Dugger was spotted with a mask in the locker room this week.
